Officials from the Provincial Harness Racing Industry Associations in the Maritimes today released the 2023 regional Stakes Schedule.
2023 Maritime Stakes Schedule The 2023 schedule starts with the prestigious Turner Memorial on May 21st at Truro Raceway for Three-Year-Old Pacing Colts and Fillies. The first event for Two-Year-Old Pacers will be in Woodstock, New Brunswick on July 7th in leg 1 of the New Brunswick Breeders. Trot events start with the Atlantic Sires Stakes on July 11th at Red Shores Summerside as part of the traditional Lobster Carnival week program. The 2023 Atlantic Sites Stakes events will again conclude with the Atlantic Breeders Crown on Sunday, October 8th. Home Hardware returns for their third season to sponsor the Home Hardware Maritime Breeders Stake for two- and three-year-old pacers with legs in both Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. Invitational level Pacers start their season on June 17th at Woodstock, where competitors will again earn points towards the Premiers Cup, which also will be part of the Atlantic Breeders Crown weekend in October. Aged Pacing Mares and Aged Trotters will also have a full schedule of events throughout the season.
